Eli often says that he is worried. Nana offered to take him to a movie. He was excited until she said she was going to look at a map. "Why," he asked. "So we don't get lost," she replied. He spent the next half-hour worried that they were going to get lost. No amount of reassuring worked. "I'm worried," he said repeatedly. "I'm worried we are going to get lost." They never did make it to the movie...
Michael took Eli to a wedding in Walla Walla, Wash. this weekend. It was a good Dadda-son trip after the chaos of bringing home a baby brother. But Eli was clearly confused about the whole marriage thing. He kept asking Michael about the wedding and marriage. I had told Eli that Momma and Dadda were married. Then Eli asked Michael if he was married. Finally, Eli told Michael that he was worried he would end up married after going to the wedding. Michael told him two other people were getting married, and that Eli could/would get married when he was older. Michael explained that two people who love each other get married. That's when Eli asked Dadda if Dadda would marry him!
